I recently put pen to paper on the final page of my sketchbook, and it felt oh so good! I’ve been sketching on the iPad more this year, so this book to me a bit longer than past ones. That’s ok, finishing at any time is an accomplishment, right?
When I meet up with people who are curious about sketchnotes, many of them want to just flip through my sketchbook. At first I thought it was a tad odd, but then I realized it’s just another way people like to learn how to sketchnote. So for this video I take you through the sketchbook, showing you all the sketchnotes, layout ideas, pen types, and more!
I think the most important thing you’ll see is how I’ve improved over the months. Sometimes it’s easy to compare our beginning to other people’s end (though I’m nowhere near the end), and I hope by seeing this video you’ll see how I’ve been developing too!
Last thing… you know what’s ridiculous? I know sketchnotes are visual, that’s the point, so of course you’ll get more out of learning visually! I’ve been creating more videos that give you more of a personal look at how to create sketchnotes, like we are just talking together!
If you like these videos, I’d be really grateful if you subscribed to the channel. Lots more to come!
