Happy Thanksgiving! As the greatest food season of the year kicks off tomorrow, I wanted to share my favorite go-to recipe, Sweet Potato Casserole!
Recipes and cooking are a really great way to practice your sketchnotes. Create simple sketches of each ingredient, the measurements, and how it’s being cooked. That’s it! If you have kids, get them involved too and see what they come up with. To emphasize the idea behind each ingredient and method, I think you’ll be surprised at how you recognize what a child means with their food sketch, even if it looks like different colored blobs at times 🙂
If you really want to be inspired, one of my favorite illustrators and artists is Wendy Macnaughton. Here’s her beautiful illustration of grilled cracked crab.
